excuses, excuses.
Some believe that the posting of any content about anything, even if involves false accusations, should be protected.
They equate freedom of speech with freedom to post. But the big difference is speech fades once it leaves the lips, whereas posts remain until a forum disappears.
Freedom of speech is different than freedom of post, but some choose to believe the two are one and the same, and choose to the protect the right of one individual to falsely post about another over protecting the reputation of person being libled.

Well, after listening to the scandal talked about on the radio for a week I came to the following conclusion, the guy on the radio came to several of the same conclusions that had I come to, and he helped take that site down!
I, on the other hand, don't make 7 figures a year for saying the same thing.

Actually, I did take a vacation. I stopped visiting forums that allow anyone to say anything about anybody else.
That in a sense, is a form of a vacation. In the meantime, one of the bigger forums on Hostboard, that has had no moderator for well over a year, created a topic about leaving Hostboard AFTER member posted some rather unnecessary posts.
That makes two situations that parallel the one I went through, in one instance, the messenger was stopped, in the second, they considered leaving Hostboard.
But then, lets not let logic get in the way of our opinions, shall we?
